At this point in time, I am currently waiting for the ITU Olympic Qualification period to end, at the end of May. This has been a two year period and there have been many ups and downs. I am currently leading the African New Flag position for the Olympics after competing twice in South Africa, Mauritius, Brazil, China and the Philippines in 2012 alone. However, my closest rival, Mehdi Essadiq from Morocco is 184 points behind me going into the final race in the Olympic Qualification cycle, in Spain, this weekend. I decided not to compete due to a number of reasons ranging from financial to health issues. As of Sunday 27 May, approximately 1600hrs CET, I will know whether Mehdi or I will be going to London this year!
