Return of the chipmunk

I have had the unfortunate, but necessary experience of having my wisdom teeth removed while in the dentist chair, admiring every kind of surgical tool making its way into my mouth. Without general anaesthetic, it does mean a faster recovery and the main reason, a smaller hit to the bank account! While admiring the size one's cheek can get to, I have been given this link by a friend of mine, who covered the Beijing Olympics. Have a look, especially page 83!

Western Australian Sate Aquathlon Champs

A blustery friday evening saw a number of multi- sport athletes take to the shark infested WA waters! The championship course was over a 500m swim/2.4km run/500m swim/2.4km run. A really good event that tests the body's ability to withstand a rapid change of predominant blood flow: arms/legs/arms/legs!!
